Principal’s Message
The concept of need-based educational development and evidenced-based practice succinctly justify the call for an overhaul of the present disharmony in entry into basic nursing education. The school of Nursing St. Gerard’s Hospital being a Faith-based institution, has been in the fore front of training quality Nurses in all areas of education, cognitive, Psychomotor and affective Domains including spiritual development of students. The School admits students from within the country and other African Countries to be highly equipped as certify nurses without segregation on the bases of tribe, religion, or race.
I therefore invite parents and caregivers who desire the training of their wards in this great Institution.
By 1992, the Archbishop Emeritus Peter Jatau there was need the training of General Nurses to cater for the learning population of the whole north, and advocated for one which was given approval by the Nursing and Midwifery council of Nigeria.

Then Mr. Ladan M. pate appointed the principal in November, 2007 to date. It is Juicy to note that the school recorded tremendous success in the finals Council examination.
